Welcome to the 3D revolution! You are the proud owner of an industrial-strength 3D modeling, rendering and animation software package.
Strata 3D is one of the first web-enabled software applications. Each time you launch Strata 3D, you will have access to all of the resources and information found at 3D.COM. And much of what is available at 3D.COM, the Virtual Reality Portal(TM) is free. This includes all of the information, tutorials, and examples you will need to learn to use Strata 3D. You can run the program and access a tutorial or a manual at the same time!
Of course, we hope you will like Strata 3D enough to purchase some of our exciting modeling and texture plug-ins, and possibly the full Strata 3Dpro. Or you might want some true 3D, stereoscopic glasses so you can be among the first to see 3D on the web. Or ... well never mind. Enough of the sale pitch.
Anyway, welcome to the world of 3D.
To Launch Strata 3D and Register Your Software
After you complete the download, find the Strata 3D
file. If it looks like a folder, it has already extracted
itself from the compressed, downloadable file. If not,
double-click on it to start the extraction process.
Open the folder, and double-click on the Strata 3D application icon. This launches the product, and opens a registration/splash screen. You will be asked if you have internet access. Click Yes. (You must have internet access to register this product and receive a registration number.)
In the next screen, click Register. This will launch your internet browser. You need to look at your browser window and follow the prompts. When you get your registration number, copy it into the Strata 3D launch window, and click Continue.
Please fill out all of the requested information, especially the section about receiving notice of new downloads, information, resources and products at 3D.COM. If you are under the age of 18, make sure you get your parents' permission before registering and providing the required information.
When you launch Strata 3D the next time, the software will remember your registration number.
If you have already registered, click "I Already Have!" Or if you have forgotten your registration number, click "Forgot Reg. #."
If you Reset your Strata 3D preferences, you will have to re-enter your registration number.
